The Life Cycle of a Guinea

"So God created......every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good." Genesis 1:21
Yes, even guineas.

And it was good!

That guinea looks very tasty. And I bet it didn't "KEEKEEKEEKEE!!!" at you from the table. Did it have a gamey flavor? I'm going to show this post to my parents and we may be more inclined to the idea of "altering" the life cycle of some of our guineas.

Karisa,
It was delicious! The meat bears resemblance to dark turkey meat but with a milder flavor. Very pleasant, not gamey at all. And it didn't talk back. :) It wasn't the most tender meat in the world, a bit chewy - not a whole lot of fat on the bird - but not tough. No wonder since they never stop moving! If you need a recipe, let me know!

Aaahhh.... Emily you finally bit the bullet.. um.. I mean the guinea. It looked wonderful. Did you pluck it and clean it by yourself? Glad you had a good meal.

You broke down and ATE it/them?

I suppose it was just a matter of time. The progression of photos cracked me up.
